Seed 5: Strong Light-Matter Coupling of Molecular and Material Monolayers

The emerging field of polaritonics − using strong light-matter interactions to fine-tune molecular and material properties and behavior − offers a potentially paradigm-changing means to rationally direct chemical and photophysical processes. This proposal investigates prospects for flexible new polaritonic platforms for surface chemistry and the functionalization of 2D materials.
