MRSEC Education/REU Regional Forum

Fri, Jun 21, 2019 (All day)

On Friday Jun 21, 2019, the Princeton Center for Complex Materials hosted its third annual MRSEC Education/REU Regional Forum.  We welcomed 90 students from the REU programs of the MRSECs at Columbia University, New York University, University of Pennsylvania and Princeton University .

During this full-day event, students participated in a networking and science communication workshop in the morning, followed by an afternoon trip to the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) of the Department of Energy (DoE). The MRSEC REU program seeks to actively involve students in ongoing research projects, with a focus on increasing the participation of under-represented minority students and women in STEM.
